Player Eligibility
Established in 1999, Hickman Lacrosse is a club sport offered to 9th – 12th grade boys or girls, who are interested in playing lacrosse at the high school level. Students enrolled at Hickman High School, students who are home schooled or attend a private school in the Hickman district, and students who attend a school that does not offer lacrosse and Hickman is the closest school to their home address such as Battle High School, Boonville High School and others are eligible to play for the Columbia Hickman Lacrosse Club.
All players must be academically passing at least five classes to participate.
Governing Board
Columbia Hickman Lacrosse Club is governed and financed solely by its members. The governing board is comprised of four elected officials and five committee chairs, all of whom are team parents. Each board and committee member serves a one-year term.
Costs
Scholarships are available so please ask before assuming costs will limit your ability to join our Club.
Each player is required to pay a registration and uniform fee and be a member of US Lacrosse. Full registration and uniform deposit must be paid in full by the December meeting. The club will provide each player with a team uniform. New players are required to purchase, or rent, a team helmet, gloves, arm pads, and shoulder pads, and are required to purchase their own stick and mouth pieces.
Operational expenses financed through registration dues and club fundraising include, but are not limited to, coaching staff and their expenses, referee fees, field fees, MSLA dues, tournament fees, team equipment (balls, nets, etc), and the awards banquet.
Family Involvement
All parents are encouraged to participate in one or more club committees. All players are required to participate in fundraising events and are expected to support the coaches and all members of the Columbia Hickman Lacrosse Club at all times.
Note to all Player and Parents
A carpool/caravan will leave Hickman approximately 3 hours prior to game time unless otherwise noted. Reminder: Players may not drive themselves to out of town games as this is against state rules. If you are in need of a ride, please make the appropriate arrangements prior to departure time.
